About us

AWS Gurus was founded in 2022 by a group of international DevOps experts and AWS Professionals. All of us had worked for major companies and consulting firms to deliver massive projects using the power of AWS. We knew how to implement large, complex projects and how to leverage the cloud to give clients resources to grow in new ways.

We had all come to see a growing problem within the industry as well. Far too often we see consulting firms go into a client with a team of analysts, architects, and planners only to spend a lot of time and money talking about projects without delivering anything. There would be a lot of PowerPoint but very little getting done.

Using our experience, we could plan a design after the first few conversations. We knew how to stand up a cloud environment with flexibility so the clients could try it quickly and give us feedback, but that was rarely an option. For a consulting firm, that analysis phase was important because it employed a large team and cost a lot of money. It also provided an opportunity for the company to find other sales ideas within the client. We understood why they did it, consulting is a hard business. The problem is that for most consulting firms, the goal is to renew contracts and expand the team, successfully delivering is nice but it’s best not to do it too quickly.

For us, we wanted to do something different. We love working with the cloud, and we know how to do it. We wanted to work with clients who needed help with the cloud and deliver for them, nothing extra. Our fixed price model was a way for us to provide our expertise without dragging out the project.
